Currently the President of the African Federation of Obstetricians and Gynecologists providing oversight to 33 African Countries working in collaboration with local and international professional bodies and likeminded stakeholders in Women’s Health. Some of her engagements include participation in legislature, policy, clinical competencies, research and advocacy in women’s Health. She is a member of the PNCD -FIGO Committee.
Academically, has supervised and mentored Ph. D students, postgraduates and undergraduates at the University of Nairobi Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology and been an external examiner in other universities. She has undertaken several consultancies with various Rotarian clubs, The Beyond Zero Initiative, donors and partners in maternal newborn Health and has over 70 publications in peer reviewed journals. She has also been privileged to be a keynote speaker in Women’s health locally, regionally and globally.
